Schneider Electric has launched Energy Tech Accelerator, a new 12-month early-career program designed to prepare participants for the energy transition by combining artificial intelligence, engineering and real-world energy challenges.

The company said the inaugural intake will recruit 50 participants across five global hubs. The program will run through two six-month rotations, and participants will be supported with learning, mentoring and customer exposure. Schneider Electric also described the initiative as a way to give emerging talent responsibility from the start, including the chance to work on business and customer challenges.

Energy Tech Accelerator is scheduled to open for applications on Nov. 2, with the company announcing the launch on Nov. 5, 2026.

Five hub locations named for the first cohort

Schneider Electric said the first cohort will be recruited from the company’s global hubs in Boston, Paris and Grenoble, Dubai, Bangalore and Shanghai.

The program, according to the announcement, targets early-career engineers who are analytical and globally minded, with interest in AI, digital technology and sustainable transformation.

Company statements link AI and workforce development

In a statement tied to the launch, Olivier Blum, Schneider Electric’s chief executive officer, said that AI and the energy transition are reshaping the industry at unprecedented speed, adding that leading would require people who can connect engineering depth, digital intelligence and customer needs. Blum described Energy Tech Accelerator as a deliberate investment in the next generation of talent.

Charise Le, Schneider Electric’s chief human resources officer, said advancing energy technology depends on people and that early-career talent should not have to wait years to contribute. Le added that the program would enable participants to learn across the business, take on real challenges, and build capabilities intended to support a more sustainable energy future.

Program structure and focus areas

Schneider Electric said participants will work on meaningful business and customer challenges while gaining dedicated learning and mentoring. The company also said the program is intended to support development of a connected global community among participants.

As part of the company’s broader workforce investment, the announcement said Energy Tech Accelerator aligns with efforts to build capabilities needed as energy systems become more digital and connected.

The company stated applications open on Nov. 2, and participants will complete the two six-month rotations as part of the program’s 12-month duration.
