The LA Vertical Drama Market returns to Los Angeles on November 5–7 for its third edition, with a programme focused on the business and technology behind mobile-first drama. The event will take place at Capital Arts Stage, according to organisers.
Monkeypaw Post, associated with Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions, joins as an event partner. MicroHouse Films, the vertical storytelling platform co-founded by Taye Diggs and James Black, will be represented by Black. Blackmagic Design returns as a presenting partner, and production connectivity provider Sohonet joins as a supporting sponsor.
From financing to mobile production
Panels and roundtables will cover financing, marketing, distribution and audience analytics. Workshops will address screenwriting, directing and post-production workflows. Speakers include representatives from DramaBox, HOORAE Media and Monkeypaw Post, alongside independent producers and platform executives.
The programme also includes a live-action bootcamp where teams will develop and produce vertical pilots, an AI edition of the VertiGo Pitch Competition developed with Leyline, and a Morphic-sponsored hackathon focused on producing a microdrama episode with AI tools.
Organisers said more than 400 people attended the previous edition in May. The November event will also feature screenings and networking sessions. Programme details are available from the LA Vertical Drama Market.
