Multipolitan, an ADGM-incorporated global mobility technology company, has raised US$2 million (AED 7.35 million) in a pre-seed funding round at a US$25 million (AED 91.81 million) pre-money valuation, according to company-reported details.

The funding round was led by EmergentX, described by Multipolitan as a global venture studio, accelerator and incubator.

Multipolitan said the new capital will be used to support the launch of its Multipolitan App and to accelerate growth of its Multipolitan Private Client business.

Business traction and app plans

Multipolitan reported that its Private Client business has generated more than US$4 million (AED 14.69 million) in net revenue in under two years. The company also said it is preparing to launch its consumer-facing digital platform in December 2026, building on its existing client offering.

Multipolitan also stated that it has secured a Tech Innovator Licence endorsement at ADGM, establishing what it described as a presence within Abu Dhabi’s technology and entrepreneurship ecosystem.

Platform targeting cross-border travel and residency

The company said its products are designed to simplify how internationally mobile individuals and families manage travel and documentation across borders. Multipolitan’s platform, it said, brings together immigration, visa, travel and cross-border administration through two products: Multipolitan Private Client and the Multipolitan App.

For the app, Multipolitan described three connected areas: Live, Travel and Stay. It said Live is intended for managing passports, visas, residence information and family documents, including reminders for document deadlines. Under Travel, the company said users can access visa and entry requirements, pre-arrival preparation and real-time flight updates such as schedule changes and gate information. For Stay, Multipolitan said the app supports tracking time abroad, remaining stay allowances and related deadlines, including planned calculations for covered travel rules such as Schengen scenarios.

Technology stack includes INREX, FlightIQ and Visa Connect

Multipolitan said its proprietary technology stack includes INREX, described as an immigration intelligence engine; FlightIQ, described as a real-time travel intelligence platform; and Visa Connect, described as an AI-powered travel visa engine.

The company added that its advisory operations help provide research and customer insights that inform development of its technology platform.

Backed by leaders and founders’ experience

Multipolitan was founded by Nirbhay Handa, previously described as Group Head of Business Development at Henley & Partners, and Lee Smith, described as an entrepreneur and co-founder of Paidy, a Japanese fintech company acquired by PayPal for US$2.7 billion (AED 9.92 billion).

In remarks included with the announcement, Lee Smith said travel can involve managing passports, visas, insurance and pre-arrival documents, and that the process becomes more complex for families. He said Multipolitan aims to reduce this “friction” when traveling to or living in other countries.

Nirbhay Handa said the investment supports the company’s goal of bringing together mobility expertise and technology, and he cited Abu Dhabi’s focus on technology and innovation as a base for growth.

Operations across Mena and Asia

Multipolitan said it currently employs more than 40 professionals across Singapore, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Bengaluru, including eight team members in the UAE. The company stated it plans further expansion to Kuala Lumpur and Manila as it prepares to introduce its consumer technology platform.
