Sennheiser has announced the launch of its new MOMENTUM 5 Wireless over-ear headphones and MOMENTUM True Wireless 5 earbuds in the United Arab Emirates. The company says the models are designed to build on the sound and battery performance of earlier MOMENTUM products while adding features focused on everyday listening and long-term usability.
Sennheiser described the MOMENTUM 5 Wireless as its newest portable over-ear offering, citing “HD 600-inspired 42mm drivers” and support for Dolby Atmos spatial tracking and lossless audio codecs. The company also said the headphones include an 8-microphone hybrid active noise cancellation (ANC) system, with firmware updates planned for its DSP and wireless engines. For battery life, Sennheiser claims up to 57 hours with ANC enabled, along with fast charging.
A key longevity element, according to Sennheiser, is a user-replaceable 700 mAh battery and user-replaceable ear pads. The company added that the battery can be replaced in minutes using a small Phillips-head screwdriver, and that the model includes a carrying case redesigned to be “20% flatter,” alongside plastic-free packaging. Sennheiser said the MOMENTUM 5 Wireless will be available in Black, Denim and White, with Bronze and Lavender coming later.
For the true wireless category, Sennheiser said the MOMENTUM True Wireless 5 earbud model brings its “audiophile sound” into a compact form factor. The company attributed the audio to TrueResponse transducers and stated support for 24-bit/96 kHz high-resolution audio, along with Dolby Atmos 3D sound and head-tracking for immersive listening.
Sennheiser also described the earbuds’ noise control as an adaptive hybrid ANC system with an automatic anti-wind mode. The company said the earbuds include a four-microphone array and an eight-sensor system that it describes as AI-powered for speech extraction to improve voice clarity in noisy environments. It further stated that the buds feature “Natural Transparency” for situational awareness when needed.
In addition to ANC, Sennheiser said the MOMENTUM True Wireless 5 includes improvements for calls, mentioning a voice accelerometer, an expanded microphone array and AI speech enhancement. On connectivity, the company said the earbuds use Bluetooth 6.0, including support for aptX Lossless and aptX Adaptive, and it also highlighted its Smart Control Plus app features, including an 8-band EQ.
Like the over-ear model, Sennheiser positioned user-replaceable batteries as a core part of its sustainability approach. The company said the earbuds have replaceable batteries in both the earbuds and the charging case. It claimed up to 12 hours of playback per charge and up to 40 hours using the case, along with quick charging.
Sennheiser also detailed physical durability and design. The company said the MOMENTUM True Wireless 5 earbuds are IP54-rated for dust, sweat and splash resistance, and it referenced a redesigned housing created using data from thousands of ear models. It also said 73% of testers rated the earbuds more comfortable than the previous generation. The company gave multiple color options, stating availability in Graphite, Cream, Copper, Denim and Lavender.
UAE pricing and availability
According to Sennheiser, the MOMENTUM 5 Wireless is available in the UAE at a launch price of AED 1,549, while the MOMENTUM True Wireless 5 is priced at AED 1,199. The company said both products are available starting now, including on Amazon.ae and at retail outlets across the country.
